Pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 231, of the Laws of 1976 (THE OPEN PUBLIC MEETINGS ACT), Mr. Finger notified the public that notice of the date, time, location and agenda of this meeting, to the extent known, was provided at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the commencement of this meeting in the following manner:

By posting such notice on the public announcement board
of the Lakewood Board of Education Offices, and the
2. By mailing such notice to the offices of the Asbury Park Press and the Tri Town News.
3. By filing such notice with the Board Secretary.

A. BE IT RESOLVED, that the
Lakewood Board of Education approves the school district’s FY 2010-2011 budget
for submission to the voters as follows:

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education authorizes this budget be submitted for review and approval
to the Executive Ocean County Superintendent of Schools and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education approves the maximum General Fund budgeted travel and
related expense reimbursements in the amount of $62,500, that the maximum
amount approved in the pre-budget year was $62,500 and that as of February 28,
2010 the total amount expended on travel is $7,158.92 and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education approves the maximum amounts for contracted services as
follows:
Legal Services $ 400,000
Audit Services $ 105,000
Physician Services $ 35,000
Therapist Services $3,450,000
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education approves the maximum amount for Extracurricular Activities
in the amount of $200,000 and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education approves the advertising of the budget, prior to approval by
the Executive Ocean County Superintendent of Schools, in accordance with New
Jersey Department of Education regulations, four days prior to the Public
Budget Hearing and;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Lakewood
Board of Education approves the date, time and place of the Public Budget
Hearing to be held on Friday, March 26, 2010 in the board meeting room located
at
